The 2004 Mythic Journeys Conference will be held in the Hyatt Regency in downtown
Atlanta.
We invite you to

Conference Attendees: Plan to arrive in Atlanta on Wednesday
afternoon in order to attend the conference kickoff Art Exhibition Gala
(buses departing from Hyatt at 6:00 p.m.)
Note: It takes approximately 1 hour to get through the Atlanta airport, and
30 minutes to 1 hour travel time from the airport to the Hyatt.
The conference ends at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 6th.
Main
Conference Attendees: There will be an exciting concert event on
Friday evening to which, as an attendee of the Main Conference, you are
entitled to attend. Please plan to arrive in Atlanta on Friday early afternoon
to allow plenty of time to check into your hotel room, register, and make
it to the concert. The plenary sessions begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning
with breakouts and workshops starting around 11:00. The conference concludes
at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 6th, so you will want to book a late flight to allow
travel and check-in time at the airport.
A more detailed event and workshop schedule will be posted on this
website in the first quarter of 2004.

Delta Air Lines is offering
special rates which allow you a 5% discount off Delta's published round-trip

Transportation
Transportation from Hartsfield-Jackson airport to the Hyatt Regency hotel:
1) A commercial shuttle bus departs the ground transportation area at the end of the airport baggage claim area at 20 & 50 minutes past the hour. Cost is $16, cash.
2) The MARTA train is an excellent alternative. MARTA trains depart from the ground transportation area of the airport every few minutes.
Cost is $1.75. Purchase a token from dispensing machines at the MARTA entrance.
Exit downtown at the PEACHTREE CENTER station. (Less than 30 minutes away.)
Take the EAST escalator (a trip in itself!) At the top end of this "high ride" you may either take another escalator to the street OR continue indoors by turning and walking a short distance into a large food court and shopping area.
Stay inside. Walk into the central area of the food court and go left at the intersection of the shopping corridors. This becomes the passageway to the lobby of the Hyatt.
(If you do take the escalator on up to the street, simply go to your right on Peachtree Street and walk a reasonably short block-and-a-half to the Hyatt Regency entrance.)

MARTA
Use Atlanta's rapid transit system to get from the airport to the Hyatt hotel. Just take the north line train (the only one available) from the MARTA station inside the airport terminal. Get off at the Peachtree Center stop and follow signs to the Hyatt (within the same block). If you exit at the station at the north end, you won't even have to go outside. Go up the escalator, then turn right. Go through the food court, and turn left, following the signs into the Hyatt Regency main lobby. It's a shorter walk than from the Hyatt's own parking lot!

We'll provide meals during the two days of the Mythic Journeys In-Depth pre-conference . During the main conference, the Hyatt Regency offers a wealth of dining options. In addition, the adjacent Peachtree Center has a thriving food court, and several restaurants are located within just a few blocks.
