A Genius Born of Warmth and Compassion

Lorin Hollander was a child prodigy who composed music when he was three and performed Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier at the age of five. When he was eleven, he made his debut at Carnegie Hall. Since then Hollander has appeared as a guest soloist with virtually every major symphony orchestra in the world. He is a veteran of over 2,500 performances and was the only soloist on the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s ten-week World Tour, which was sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

Mr. Hollander holds three honorary doctorates and is a Joseph Campbell Foundation Fellow .

This gifted musician, speaker and educator has served as advisor to the Aspen Institute, the Kennedy Center Symposium, the World Congress on the Gifted, the 1984 Winter Olympics, and has worked with the International Transpersonal Association, the American Psychiatric Association, Association of Humanistic Psychology and the Social Science Research Council.

He is also the Artistic Advisor to the New England Conservatory Research Center and Music in Education National Consortium. Mr. Hollander served on the Rockefeller Panel for “Arts, Education and Americans” and has worked with the National Endowment of the Arts, American Symphony Orchestra League, the U.S. Department of Education, and was the first classical musician to perform on the streets of Harlem in NYC.
