Gertrud Mueller Nelson

Gertrud Mueller Nelson was a Montessori teacher and a high school teacher before raising three children. She also studied at the CG Jung Institute in Zurich. As an artist she is known for her stained glass, clip art, and silver design. She has published seven books, many articles, and has illustrated eleven books. As a speaker, she gives retreats, keynote addresses and workshops internationally.

Her books include:

  • To Dance With God/ Family Ritual and Community Celebration
  • Here All Dwell Free/ Stories to Heal the Wounded Feminine
  • Pocket Prayers
  • Sacred Threshold/Rites and Readings for a Wedding with Spirit

Ms Nelson's emphasis is on the cycle of seasons and festivals as opportunities for the grounding of spiritual life in both established formal ritual and in the humble personal rituals of daily living. In her book, Here All Dwell Free, the story of the Handless Maiden is her source for images of the wounded feminine and it's healing.
